First day of afternoon classes and we had this littlest bird visit us.... so we had to draw it, of course! Plus feed, cuddle, and help find her mother. And she seemed to watch over us.... It was certainly love from us at first sight!

Whoa, Summer Art Camp!

5 Mornings of Art = Art Camp 2013.  What a week it was and as you can see.... We sewed, worked with clay, a little performance art and costume design, painted with sponges and other watermedia, made casts from molds we poured ourselves, created puppets, and painted artist books using canvas, and of course, tie dyed too!

" A Summer Art Buffet" for Kids, Friday, August 9th

Due to popular demand, kids want more art this summer!  Yes, they do!  Well, here it is!
We are offering a special opportunity for children ages 6 - 12 to have an "art day" all of their own!
Young artists will explore a variety of media including drawing, tie dying, weaving, clay and more! 
$55. tuition including snacks, drinks, and end of the day ice cream party! Please bring a packed lunch. Please find attached registration form. You may call 485 5691, or email helene@helenefarrar.com to register.

Art will fit into your schedule! Just take a few minutes away from the sun and the social activities - you can do those both here. The studio is just lovely and we have the best of time.  

Here's our summer schedule at the studio for July and August:

Thursday, July 11 & 25, August 8 & 22, 9:30 - 11:30 Beginning Adult Watercolor Class 

Thursday, July 11 & 25, August 1 & 15 12:30 - 2:30  Intermediate Painting (all media welcomed)

Both of these above classes are drop-in and $20

Camps for Kids: Session II  (6 - 12 year olds) July 29 - August 2  FILLED,

Session III  Drawing and Painting Intensive for Teens  August 12 - 16

Colored Pencil Drive and Drawing Event Saturday, April 27th from 2 - 4 PM

Come and join us with Brynn Wartman (our Thursday afternoon instructor) in a special event on Saturday, April 27th from 2 - 4 PM.  Brynn has been an active member of the Colored Pencil Project www.thecoloredpencilproject.org and in May she is traveling to Ethiopia to deliver colored pencils to children! On this Saturday, we are asking individuals to offer 12 packs of colored pencils to bring to Africa, learn more about the Colored Pencil Project, and do some drawing themselves!
